Privacy Policy

1. No account needed to see a result

Calculating a chart and reading the result require no account. We do not collect your name, phone number, or national identification number.

Buying a reading or receiving the daily one requires signing in. What that collects is in section 4 below.

2. What you enter for the calculation

To build a chart, the Service takes your birth date, birth time, birthplace (city and time zone), and gender.

If you are not signed in, none of it is stored. Once the response is returned it does not remain, and the values needed for the result screen are held only in your browser's session storage and disappear when you close the tab.

If you sign in and save a chart, it is kept on your account. What is kept: a nickname, birth date, birth time, birthplace (time zone and longitude), and gender. This is so you do not have to type your birth date again on your next visit.

You can edit or remove a saved chart at any time from the Your chart screen.

Gender is used solely to determine the direction of the ten-year luck cycles, because the Myeongri rules define it that way. It is not used for anything else.

3. Storage of readings

Readings are cached so that the same chart does not have to be generated repeatedly.

The identifier used for this cache is the four ganji values of the chart, not your birth date. Many different birth dates produce the same chart, so this value cannot identify a person.

What is stored is the reading text and the version information used to produce it. Nothing pointing to you is included.

Readings you buy are kept on your account. You can re-read a reading for up to 90 days from the day you open it, and it is kept after that until you close your account so that refunds and disputes can be checked. The chart it was based on is stored with it.

Readings you buy are kept until you close your account, and are destroyed without delay when you do.

4. Signing in (Kakao, Google, or email)

You can sign in with a Kakao or Google account, or sign up with an email address. When you sign in with Kakao or Google, we never receive or store your password.

What the provider gives us: an account identifier, and an email address in the case of Google only. We do not take your name or profile photo.

Kakao does not give us an email address, so accounts created through Kakao have none stored.

If you sign up with email, we take your email address and a password. The password is kept only in a form that cannot be reversed (one-way encryption); the original is never stored. To confirm sign-up and to reset passwords we email a verification code, which is also kept encrypted and only briefly.

This is used to keep you signed in and to attach your purchases to your account. Nothing else, and no marketing.

It is kept until you close your account. When you do, the provider identifier, email address, and encrypted password are erased without delay.

The records that Korean law requires us to keep (payment records for 5 years, complaint and dispute records for 3 years, section 8 below) remain for that period. By then the account holds nothing that identifies you, so those records cannot be traced back to you.

5. Email (waiting list)

An email address is collected only where you enter one yourself.

It is used to tell you when the full reading opens. It is not used for anything else and no marketing messages are sent.

It is kept until that notice is sent or until you ask for deletion, then destroyed without delay.

Stored alongside it: the entry point identifier, your language setting, and the time of registration.

6. Reading context

When you open a paid reading we ask, from a fixed list, about your current situation (relationship or work) and what you most want to know. You may optionally leave a question of your own.

This is used only to write the reading. It is never used in the chart calculation, which is derived from your birth date and time alone.

It is stored alongside the reading you bought, so that reopening it shows the same text, and so we can tell what a reading was based on if you contact us.

Please do not write another person's details in the free note. Where a note contains a third party's personal data, the Company does not use it in the reading.

To read for someone else, save their chart instead of describing them in the note (section 7 below).

7. Someone else's chart

When you check compatibility, or save a chart for a family member or friend, the Service takes their birth date, birth time, birthplace, and gender.

Please get their agreement before entering their details. The Company treats the person entering them as having obtained it.

This is used only to build that chart and write the reading. We never contact that person or use it for anything else, and we do not ask for their name or contact details.

You can remove a saved chart at any time. Readings you already bought for them are not removed, because you paid for that text, and the chart used to produce it stays inside the reading.

Saved charts are kept until you remove them. What remains inside a purchased reading is kept until you close your account.

8. Payment information

The Company does not collect or store card numbers or other payment credentials. The payment provider handles them directly.

The Company receives only the transaction identifier and payment status needed to confirm the purchase.

When you request a refund, we record when you asked and how it was resolved. If we cannot grant the request we also record why, and that note is written by a member of staff, so it may describe what you told us.

Under Korean e-commerce law, records of contracts and withdrawals are kept for 5 years, payment records for 5 years, and records of consumer complaints and disputes for 3 years.

9. Automatically generated information

Access records, browser type, and request time may be written to server logs for operation and error diagnosis.

These are not used to identify individuals and are destroyed once the retention period under Korean communications law has passed.

10. Processing entrusted to others

An external AI processing service is used to generate readings. What is sent is the calculated chart and its supporting facts. Birth dates, email addresses, and anything else identifying you are not sent.

Payment processing is entrusted to a payment provider.

Sign-up confirmation and password-reset emails are sent through an email delivery service. Only the recipient address and the code are passed to it.

If a processor changes, this policy is updated and the change announced.

11. Disclosure to third parties

The Company does not provide your personal information to third parties.

The exception is a lawful request from an investigative authority following due process.

12. Your rights

You may at any time request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information.

You can edit or remove saved charts yourself from the Your chart screen.

You can close your account at the bottom of the `Settings` tab on the Your chart screen. Doing so erases your saved charts, the readings you bought, your questions and answers, and any remaining talk pass and Dorim tickets without delay.

Readings you bought cannot be removed from the screen, so that text you paid for does not disappear. If you also want the information inside them erased, tell us at the contact below and we will act without delay.

Any other request for access, correction, deletion, or suspension can be sent to the contact below and will be handled without delay.

13. Security measures

Access to personal information is limited to the smallest number of people necessary.

Data in transit is encrypted.

The Company treats minimising what is stored in the first place as its most important safeguard. Storing no birth date at all unless you sign in, keying the reading cache on ganji values rather than birth dates, and never asking for names or phone numbers are examples.

14. Changes to this policy

Changes and their effective date are announced in the Service.

Changes unfavourable to you are announced 30 days in advance.
